Can I have your attention?
What are we starting here?
Just look around you 'cause the answer is clear
Listen, listen and hear the coming sound
All of the children are singing it loud
Let's be the revolution
That lives for holding nothing back, nothing back
We're after Your heart, after Your heart
All of the walls now are breaking apart
Live like we see it, love like we mean it
This is the start we're after Your heart
Start the ascension, begin the holy climb
Up to where heaven and the earth collide
Bring your affection all that you have inside
Enter the kingdom and become alive
'Cause love with no condition
It lives for holding nothing back, nothing back
We're after Your heart, after Your heart
All of the walls now are breaking apart
Live like we see it, love like we mean it
This is the start we're after Your heart
Oh, let's go higher and higher
Hear the sound of the free
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Lift your soul join with the choir
Sing the song, let it ring
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
We're after Your heart
Never going to stop until we reach You
We're after Your heart, after Your heart
All of the walls now are breaking apart
Live like we see it, love like we mean it
This is the start we're after Your heart
We're after Your heart
Never going to stop until we reach You
Then I go into a song called After Your Heart which is kind of a proclamation saying, Everybody, you listeners and me let's come together and join this revloution that Jesus started about living selflessly and living a life of sacrifice and being a servant. Lets live for holding nothing back instead of wanting to hold everything close, let's let it all go and just surrender.
Verse:
To the one who's dreams are falling all apart
And all you're left with is a tired and broken heart
I can tell by your eyes you think your on your own
but you're not all alone
Have you heard of the One who can calm the raging seas
Give sight to the blind, pull the lame up to their feet
With a love so strong he'll never let you go
oh you're not alone
Chorus:
You will be safe in His arms
You will be safe in His arms
'Cause the hands that hold the world are holding your heart
This is the promise He made
He will be with You always
When everything is falling apart
You will be safe in His arms
Verse 2:
Did you know that the voice that brings the dead to life
Is the very same voice that calls you to rise
So hear Him now He's calling you home
You will never be alone
Bridge:
These are the hands that built the mountains
the hands that calm the seas
These are the arms that hold the heavens
they are holding you and me
These are hands that healed the leper
Pulled the lame up to their feet
These are the arms that were nailed to a cross
to break our chains and set us free
The message relates to many and never gets old. It speaks out to those that are hurting, those that are going through tough things. It’s a reminder that the God who brought sight to the blind and brought the lame to their feet is the same God who holds you in his arms today. It’s my sincere prayer that the simple message of this song would resonate in people’s hearts. I wrote it after a moving conversation I had with a man who told me his story. It was a story of God’s faithfulness during a struggling time. How God can turn things that seem so grim into things that give Him glory. Think of all those that Jesus healed and saved while he was on earth from great tragedy and sickness and even death. It gave people all the more reason to praise Him!
The sky is grey and the light is far
The sea is a rage within my heart
I turn my sight to the crashing waves
I cry in the night just to be saved
I need eyes to be my guide
I need a voice that's louder than mine
I need hope I need You
Cause I can't do this alone
Grace I call Your name
Oh won't Your smile fall over me
I'm cracked and dry on hands and knees
Oh sweet grace rain down on me I need You grace
I pray for dawn a new day to live
I pray for mercy only Jesus gives
Though darkness falls and a million cry
I believe over all there's a greater light shining for us
Come down and save me
That whole song was inspired by well... actually the Gospel of Luke, in the Gospel of Luke specifically the character Peter, and reading to that gospel and seeing him actually seeing myself in him..., as a songwriter, as a worship leader, you know just doing my best to write these songs and to live these songs out, you know singing these songs like "Lord, I give you my heart I give you my soul..." and stuff like that, and then just even that day just living differently, I just realizing Gosh, I'm just so unworthy of this, and then, 'cause i was so impacted by the character Peter, I read through the book he wrote, you know first and second PeteT, and it's so amazing to see the difference in Peter, and the gospel, and the first Peter,'cause he gives us, he says... in season and out of season always be ready to give defense for hope that's in you, and it' so cool to hear that heart coming from this guy who... just to young girls who was afraid to say he knew Jesus, you know what I mean? and all because of the grace of god and through...Jesus's affecting his life, and jesus's changing his life, he got to this place of realization of what is important, and there is so much courage, so much strength, and so much grace releship that we share with Jesus... so that's when i wrote the song called "Grace", and it's like, it's very... has a lot of illusion to that sort of Peter, you know, talks about this guy... "The sea is a rage within my heart I turn my sight to the crashing waves..." kind of that illusion to Peter you know, walking on the water, having the faith to run, but then realizing you never have enough faith you know, it's all about the grace of God the supplys what you need.
